What to Know When You Receive Your Epoch Marine Model Battery

Epoch Marine Model Battery – Important Guidelines

To help you get the most out of your Epoch Marine Model battery, please review the following guidelines:

  1. Save the Original Packaging
Hold onto the box and all included packaging materials. In the rare event the battery needs to be returned under warranty, using the original packaging ensures safe transport and helps avoid unnecessary costs or delays.

  2. Download the Correct App
Epoch currently offers two apps: Epoch Li-ion and Epoch Pro. For the Marine Model battery, you'll want to download the Epoch Li-ion app.

  3. Charge Upon Arrival
Due to shipping regulations, the battery will arrive at around 30% state of charge (SOC) or less. I recommend fully charging the battery before installation and before connecting it to the app.

Pro tip: Even if you don’t plan to install it right away, go ahead and give it a full charge within the first couple of weeks of receiving it.

  4. Connect After Charging
Always fully charge the battery before pairing it with the app. While it’s extremely rare, this helps avoid any potential syncing issues between the battery and the app. (For what it's worth, none of my customers or I have run into this problem—just playing it safe.)

  5. Register Your Battery
You’ll find the serial number on the top side of the battery. Be sure to register it with Epoch for warranty coverage and future updates.
