Sterling ProCharge Ultra Plus Battery Charger 36V MODEL

The new ProCharge Ultra Plus builds on the trusted performance of the original Gen1 model, now with even more features and enhancements.

Sterling ProCharge Ultra – World-Voltage Marine Battery Chargers

The Sterling ProCharge Ultra is one of the most advanced and efficient marine battery chargers available. Designed for global use, these award-winning chargers run on any AC power source from 90–260VAC (40–80Hz), making them ideal for vessels traveling internationally. With a compact, lightweight design, they require less input power, generate less heat, and offer exceptional performance in a small footprint.

Key Features:

  • Global Input Compatibility – Operates anywhere in the world without adjustment.

  • 12 Charge Profiles – Includes 11 factory-set battery charging programs (LiFePO4, AGM, GEL, Flooded, Calcium) and one fully user-programmable profile—no computer needed.

  • 4-Stage Charging – Bulk, Absorption, Float, and Conditioning modes maximize battery lifespan while preventing overcharging.

  • Multi-Bank Charging – Charge up to 3 battery banks simultaneously with one negative and three positive terminals.

  • Real-Time Monitoring – Dual digital meters display live voltage and current; an optional remote display (PCUR) is available with a 10-meter cable and multiple mounting options (surface, flush, or recessed).

  • Efficiency & Protection

    • Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) up to 0.99 for maximum power efficiency—up to 40% more efficient than non-PFC chargers.

    • Synchronous rectification for an additional 10% efficiency boost.

    • High voltage desulfation cycle (for flooded batteries).

    • Microprocessor-controlled high-voltage protection, with backup analog trip system.

  • Construction & Compliance – Built with marine-grade, non-ferrous materials. Meets UL1236 marine standards and ABYC-31 guidelines.

  • Informative Interface – 32-LED display panel, internal diagnostics, and battery temperature sensor included.

  • Compact & Lightweight – Designed for tight spaces without compromising power.

Gen2 Model Enhancements:

  • 4 dedicated LiFePO4 profiles, including one customizable profile

  • 0.25A signal output for triggering external devices (e.g., relays)

  • Ground signal wire for remote or BMS-triggered shutdown

  • Improved terminal layout for easier installation

  • Updated end caps with screw-and-tab mounting

Sterling vs. ProMariner:
The ProCharge Ultra shares its core design with the ProMariner ProNautic—both were co-developed and are manufactured together. Historically, ProMariner was sold in North America while Sterling was exclusive to Europe/UK. Sterling now offers full U.S. support and a 5-year warranty from their operations center in Maine.

Award-Winning Performance:
Recipient of Sail Magazine’s 2011 Pittman Innovation Award, the Sterling ProCharge Ultra continues to set the standard for marine battery charging systems.
